Welcome Jordan Hobbs!

Jordan Hobbs joins our team as the Sales & Marketing Manager. She is passionate, driven and has more than a decade of experience in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry. Among her previous positions, she served as Group Sales Manager, Event Coordinator and Beverage Manager for a local group of fine dining restaurants in Kitchener-Waterloo. During this time she developed her passion for hospitality & creating the ultimate guest experience.

Originally from London, ON, Jordan enjoys visiting local restaurants & breweries, learning about craft beer (recently completed Cicerone Level 1), photography, and spending time with her family.

Position: R.91 Line Cook
Reports to: Banquet and Restaurant Sous Chefs

Job Description:

• Is able to work on the restaurant line with a sense of urgency as well as attention to detail and commitment to replicating menu dishes to the standards set by the executive chef and sous chefs.

• Has knowledge of the restaurant menu and the ability to execute all recipes and dishes to the standard set by sous chefs and executive chef.

• Responsible for ensuring mise en place is complete and set up prior to service, and returning the line to its baseline of cleanliness after service is complete.

• Supports the R.91 lead cooks and all sous chefs in daily production and line service.

• Familiar with basic classical French inspired Canadian fine dining elements and techniques.

• Comports him/herself with professionalism on the restaurant line and at all times in the kitchen environment.

• Conducts him/herself with a positive attitude, respect, and dignity in regards to his/her job, position, co-workers, management and Windermere manor as a whole.

• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene. Arrives at work clean, with tidy clothes, trimmed facial hair, nails and hair.

• Co-operates with all staff, especially managers and front of house, to the best of his/her ability at all times.

• Maintains the attitude that guests of Windermere are of the utmost importance and all actions are undertaken to provide guests with a remarkable and hospitable experience.

• Has knowledge of food safety practices and implements them consistently.

• Reliably shows up to work on time, ready to work with enthusiasm.

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and fridges on a daily basis. Organizes prep items in fridges at the end of each shift. Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation surfaces and equipment after using.

 

 

Position: Banquet Cook
Reports to: Banquet and Restaurant Sous Chefs
Job Description:

• Has knowledge of the various banquet menus and the ability to execute all recipes and dishes to the standard set by sous-chefs and executive chef.

• In conjunction with the banquet sous chef, is able to coordinate prep efforts and execute buffet functions, plated functions, and gala functions.

• Assists the banquet sous-chef and lead cooks with maintaining daily prep lists and recording any ordering needs on the ordering board. Generally gains a ‘big picture’ perspective of kitchen operations.

• Supports R.91 cooks and sous-chefs whenever needed.

• Has knowledge of food safety practices and implements them consistently.

• Is able to work on the banquet line with a sense of urgency as well as attention to detail and commitment to replicating menu dishes to the standards set by the executive chef and sous chefs.

• Is able to work independently and demonstrates initiative in problem solving and organization.

• Conducts him/herself with professionalism, a positive attitude, respect, and dignity with regards to his/her job, position, co-workers, management and Windermere manor as a whole.

• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene. Arrives at work clean, with tidy clothes, trimmed facial hair, nails and hair.

• Co-operates with all staff, especially managers and front of house, to the best of his/her ability at all times.
